This policy explains what personal information Flight to Quality collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write in plain English wherever possible.

Flight to Quality is a trading name of Flight to Quality Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16994787). Our registered office is 3 Mill Lane, Bluntisham, Huntingdon, PE28 3LR, United Kingdom.

The information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, your email address and anything you choose to tell us in your message, such as your company and what you need. When you sign up for our content guide or our updates, we collect your email address.

Information we collect automatically. Like most websites, when you visit ours we collect some technical information through cookies and similar technologies. This can include your device and browser type, your approximate location, and how you move through the site. We use this to understand what is useful and to keep the site working and secure. You control this through our cookie banner. See the "Cookies" section below.

We do not collect any special category data (such as health or financial account details), and we ask that you do not send us any through our forms.

How we use your information, and our legal basis

We use your information to:

  • Reply to your enquiry and discuss working together. Our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Send you the content guide you asked for, and occasional pieces of our thinking. Our basis is your consent, which you give when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing, using the link in every email.
  • Understand how our site is used and improve it. Where this relies on non-essential cookies, our basis is your consent, given through the cookie banner.
  • Keep our site secure and working properly. Our basis is our legitimate interest in protecting our site and its visitors.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies. Some are essential and keep the site running. Others help with security, analytics and remembering your preferences. Non-essential cookies are only set once you agree through our cookie banner, and you can change your choices or opt out at any time. For more detail, see our cookie policy.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

We do use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:

  • Squarespace, which hosts our website and provides our forms, email sign-up and site analytics.
  • Google, for website analytics and search performance (Google Analytics and Google Search Console).

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so that it stays protected.

We may also disclose information if the law requires us to, or to protect our legal rights.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information only as long as we need it.

  • Enquiries: if we do not go on to work together, we keep your enquiry for up to 24 months, then delete it.
  • Subscribers: we keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
  • Clients: where you become a client, we keep relevant records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
  • ask us to transfer your information to another provider; and
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

Complaints

We would always rather you came to us first, so we can put things right. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us at dataprotection@flighttoquality.co.uk.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top, and, if the changes are significant, we will let subscribers know.
