Writer-led, not writer-only
Meet the talent
Alongside dedicated writing resources, we also have design, brand and strategy specialists on hand to deal with whatever your firm needs delivered. There are no agency layers to wade through — you deal directly with the people doing the work.
Jonny Campbell
Jonny has been a graphic designer since 1994 and carries the official job title of Head of Aviation. He produces several Annual Reports and Accounts a year, and carries design, typesetting, infographics and data visualisation, accessibility, print-ready file preparation and printer liaison. He has long experience of working within the constraints of brand guidelines and established styles while adding subtle but important visual refreshments. “I see design as a reductive process, in other words removing clutter to draw attention to that salient fact. Negative space is important for readability and reduction of eye fatigue. The gaps are as important as the words and graphics.”
Julian Borra
Julian is a creative strategist, writer and director, and the founder of The Thin Air Factory. He has shaped and led brand and business communications programmes across financial services, banking, insurance and fintech. Over the past ten years he has developed his own methodology for driving clarity, alignment and action inside organisations and communities. “It is the engaging the disengaged that informs my choice of examples,” he says. Only Human combined evidential research and insight with creative interventions to reach seldom-heard and disadvantaged communities on how genomic medicine is perceived. Me to the Power of We, undertaken with the Kavli Institute at Cambridge, improved the conversation between people confounded by leading medical science and the scientists developing the models that will shape UK healthcare.
Julian is a published author and an editor, most recently on Catarina Midby's TEAM MAGGAN, a finalist for Sweden's Publishing Prize 2026, and he writes at www.thinairfactoryblog.com.
Russell Hrachovec
Russell is a creative director and graphic designer with more than 25 years' experience. He began his career at Pentagram, then spent nearly two decades running his own studios, compoundEye and Make it Red, for clients including Mastercard, Starbucks, Save the Children and the BRIT Awards. He later moved in-house as Creative and Brand Lead at Octopus Investments, where he led a masterbrand rebrand through to international rollout and managed a team. He now works independently with clients including Julius Baer, Adobe and charities he cares about. He is at his best building brand systems from a blank page and bringing the people who sign them off, including those who don't feel naturally confident making creative decisions, along with the idea. He works with Flight to Quality from North London.
